Email capture

How email capture works

Effective date: September 1, 2026

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Nuramem is a memory for the AI tools you use. Every account can be issued a private address that looks like nura-…@in.nuramem.ai. Mail that reaches that address is captured: Nura reads it, saves what's worth keeping as memory records, and replies with a receipt listing exactly what landed. Leave the address on a thread and the later replies on that thread are captured too, until you take it off or rotate the address.

This page is the plain-language version of Sections 3.4 and 9.5 of our Privacy Policy, which is the authoritative one.

The one thing to know

Other people's words end up in your memory. Nura reads the message and turns it into records in your private memory, including what other people wrote. Capture only mail you took part in or were entitled to receive; in some places, keeping or disclosing a conversation without the other participants' knowledge is restricted by law.

What we keep about other people

We remove email addresses, phone numbers and contact handles from a message before anything reads it, and again from every record before it is stored. So what a record keeps about someone else is what they said and the name they wrote under — never their contact details, and never their employer domain. Your own addresses are the exception, because the Service has to know which ones are yours.

Our mail provider's own copy of the message is not covered by that: it is the mail as it arrived, attachments included, and it currently can't be deleted. See the sub-processors page.

You can block any sender or domain, and rotate your address at any time, killing the old one instantly.

If you were on a captured email and you're not a Nuramem user

What we may hold is what the message says: your words, the name you wrote under, your role, and facts stated about you. We don't hold your email address or your phone number, so nothing in that memory can be used to contact you.

Email privacy@nuramem.ai to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to stop us using it, or to have it removed. We'll act whether or not you have an account, and you don't have to tell us who captured the message. Because we hold no address for you, tell us the name you write under and enough about the correspondence to find it.

Two honest limits: where a full answer would disclose another person's private content, or where we can't tell your records from another person's of the same name, we'll tell you what we can and can't do; and our mail provider's copy of the original email is outside our ability to delete.

This page restates Sections 3.4 and 9.5 of the Privacy Policy; where they differ, the Privacy Policy governs. It is linked from Nura's email receipts and from every place your Nura address appears in the product.
